I created Rent n Sew 44 years ago after I enquired about hiring a domestic sewing machine, only to find out that in 1976 one could not hire a sewing machine in Sydney or Melbourne!  And that is when Rent n Sew was created.  I invested in a number of domestic sewing machines and started advertising.

After I received enquiries to hire industrial sewing machines, I then invested in a few different types of industrial machines, did a sewing machine mechanic’s course, and Rent n Sew was up and running.

Since then, the business has grown and continues to attract new customers.  As well as renting sewing machines, both domestic and industrial, I also sell and repair sewing machines.
